FAQ

Straight answers.

The questions we get asked most about coded welding, coverage and quotes.

What is a coded welder?+

A coded welder has passed formal welder qualification tests (BS EN ISO 9606, ASME IX and similar) proving they can deliver welds that meet the mechanical and inspection standards required for structural, pressure and safety-critical work.

Do you cover all of London?+

Yes — we cover all four London zones (North, South, East and West) plus surrounding areas across Greater London. We're based in Islington, N1.

How much does a welding job cost?+

It depends on the job — access, materials, procedure and time on site all factor in. We offer free site visits across London and also quote from photos or plans sent by email or WhatsApp.

Do you charge for a quote or site visit?+

No. Site visits and quotes are free across all London zones — no visit fee, no obligation.

Can I get a quote without a site visit?+

Yes. Send us a photo, plan or short description via the contact form or WhatsApp and we'll come back with a budget estimate.

What kinds of welding do you offer?+

MMA (stick), MIG/MAG and TIG — all with coded procedures. We handle structural steel, pressure work, repairs and on-site fabrication.

Do you provide documentation for main contractors?+

Yes — coded procedures, welder qualifications and traceability documentation are supplied as standard on jobs that require it.

Do you take on emergency call-outs?+

We're call-out ready. Message us on WhatsApp or call the number in the footer and we'll respond as quickly as possible.
